Peter has a thirty-something year career in advertising and more recently technology-based businesses. Having created a number of successful internet startups, the concept of The Stock Rooms was an opportunity to underpin the strength of the art-world ecosystem with technology and a more unified web-enabled presence.
Peter is a hands-on operator and believes that to understand a business you really need to be able to experience each aspect. From concept to execution, in strategic, design and technology, Peter maintains a deep operational involvement in how The Stock Rooms runs and evolves.
Michel is a media and art-world veteran, having worked across both industries for more than 30 years as a journalist, photographer and advertising agency creative director. This eclectic range of experiences he has garnered in this time has given him a unique perspective on all things media and art related. This insight and deep personal connection to the Australian art community is a cornerstone to his involvement as a partner in the formation of The Stock Rooms. Michel is also a recognised artist in his own right with works in the National Portrait Gallery, The National Library of Australia, The Museum of Modern Art at Heide, and the Performing Arts Museum. Many of these works are also featured in his two published books, All of Us (Scribe, 2008) and Framed - Portraits of Australian Painters (Hardie Grant, 1998).
