Janine Whitling’s entry into the arts professionally began in December 2009 after completing a Master of Contemporary Arts specializing in painting and works on paper. Her emerging career was given a kick-start in 2010 when she was selected as a finalist in the Blake Prize. She has continued to exhibit both locally and overseas, developing artworks that are informed by her environment which includes her ongoing personal development in metaphysical subjects of inquiry. In particular she investigates the human condition in its quest for self-identity, origins of existence, and belonging within society.
